The experience

We’re looking for volunteers to help revive our farm in Tagounit, mainly made up of palm trees. Due to lack of rain, the farm is struggling, and your support is crucial to restore it. The program isn’t just about work—we’ll also explore historical sites in town, visit the sand dunes, and experience the beauty of the Sahara Desert. Join us for a meaningful experience and help breathe new life into this land!


What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 8 Per day

Fee pays for: Materials for volunteer activities and Donation to project

Description: We’re asking for a small contribution of $8 per day from each volunteer to help cover the cost of meals during our project. Your support will help ensure that everyone stays energized and ready to contribute! If you're able to help, Your generosity is much appreciated! Thank you!

Program Details

Activities & Shift

At our farm in Tagounit, you’ll dive into a variety of hands-on activities that blend farming with cultural exchange. You’ll help plant and harvest seasonal crops, maintain garden beds, and care for our animals. In addition to the farm work, you’ll get the chance to experience traditional cooking sessions, learn local crafts from our family, and share stories during communal meals. You’ll also assist with farm maintenance, from small repairs to keeping things organized and tidy. With a work schedule of approximately 25 hours per week, you’ll have plenty of time to explore the area and relax. Work is typically divided into 5-hour shifts, 5 days a week, with mornings from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. You’ll also enjoy two full days off to recharge, discover the beautiful surroundings, or immerse yourself in cultural activities. We encourage you to share your interests, and we’re happy to adjust tasks to make sure your experience is fulfilling. We ask that you approach tasks with a positive attitude and give your best effort, whether it’s farming, animal care, or helping out with daily chores. Flexibility is important, as farm life can be unpredictable, and we encourage you to embrace new experiences with an open mind. Please maintain cleanliness in shared spaces, conserve resources like water and electricity, and be mindful of the desert's natural beauty. Lastly, we want you to relax, have fun, and make the most of this unique opportunity to connect with nature, our community, and one another. Together, we can create an unforgettable and enriching experience!
