Role Overview:
Soweto Youth Initiative is a community-based organization dedicated to empowering children and youth in Nairobi through education, mentorship, and social initiatives. We are seeking a passionate and skilled Grant Writer to help us secure funding for our programs and expand our impact. This role is perfect for someone who wants to use their writing and research skills to support meaningful change in underserved communities

Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Your contribution helps cover essential costs like meals, accommodation, utilities, and resources for the children. This support ensures we can continue making a positive impact while providing you with a meaningful volunteer experience.

What you get

Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Our mission is to empower children and youth through education, mentorship, and skills development, addressing challenges like poverty, unemployment, early pregnancies, and drug abuse.
Activities & Shift
What You’ll Do
Research potential funding opportunities from local and international donors.
Write compelling grant proposals tailored to different donors.
Assist in the development of fundraising strategies.
Collaborate with the SYI team to gather data and success stories to include in proposals.
Maintain a database of grant applications and deadlines.
