The eco village was the best place for my first volunteer trip experience. Rob and Rebe were so welcoming, inclusive, friendly and respectful. They made us all feel like family from the moment we met them. Rob is so knowledgeable on sustainability, the area, the culture, and so many other things. Rebe is also very knowledgeable on the food she cooks, and is SO good at what she cooks! The overall experience was enlightening as someone who isn't involved with science or biology. It opened my eyes up to what the world could be if we took better care. I would def go back!

This was truly a once and a lifetime experience I recommend for everyone! Rebe and Rob are two of the kindest people I have ever met, with welcoming hugs and teachings. Their eco village is also GORGEOUS with stunning views and a short walk to the beach. I learned so much about sustainability and sea turtle conservation, with the chance to even hold baby sea turtles! If you want a truly amazing experience, volunteer here :)

I can't put into words how special this experience is. First of all, Rob and Rene are fantastic hosts! They went above and beyond to make me feel safe and welcome. The meals were made with such care and love. I felt like I was visiting family. The facilities were amazing! Getting to sleep surrounded by nature was incredibly relaxing and just what my soul needed. The learning aspect of the trip really rounded out the unique experience. Getting to learn sustainability and give back to the environment and have a purpose for travel allowed me to grow as a person. I'm definitely returning!

My experience at the eco village couldn't have been better. Rebe and Rob, the hosts, make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The beach is just a 10-minute walk with incredible views of nature and stunning sunsets. The food is super healthy and delicious, and the group I was with was so much fun—people I hope to meet up with again around the world. Sleeping and waking up in nature made me rethink what I want for my future. Helping with sea turtle conservation is something I'll never forget, really! I recommend this experience to everyone, and I really hope to go back one day!

This experience was truly incredible, a great way to disconnect from the world (still with Wifi connectivity) and reconnect with nature. The activities and volunteer hours are treated more as an opportunity for us to learn, rather than just "work." I really appreciated the time and effort from Rob and Rebe to make this a collaborative and wonderful experience, they really put their heart and souls into this project.

I cannot recommend this opportunity enough. rob & rebe were the most warm and welcoming people from the second i met them. their energy, knowledge and passion was so beautiful to witness, and i will be forever changed from knowing them and getting to experience their space. i am so so glad i took the leap to go on this volunteer experience, and hope to return as soon as i can! thank you so much!
