Program Details

Hello, we are Pablo, Jessy and Mela, we are a family from Mexico, we live in the state of Hidalgo, one hour from Mexico City.

Our family loves country life and we are passionate about the idea of creating our own self-sustaining farm.

For 3 years we have had a rabbit farm for meat production and some chickens for egg consumption. We are also working on building a small vegetable garden for our own consumption, which we want to fertilize with the rabbits' manure. We are also working on remodeling our vegetable garden.

We are eager to see the result, as we are building our own pool and an oven to make delicious pizzas, Italian style, which we learned to make on our trip.

This year we have many interesting projects and we will certainly need a lot of help and we would be happy to continue meeting people from different parts of the world, and share a lot of what we have.

We have had the opportunity to volunteer in several countries, and it has certainly been a unique and exciting experience. Now we want to share this experience and be wonderful hosts.

In our family we always keep the spiritual part in mind and we are happy every day to have a new day and we thank God.

We also love to visit different places and go out to explore nature, and of course you will be invited every week we have different plans.

For these activities, what matters most is enthusiasm and the desire to learn. If you are excited about living in a sustainable environment, getting to know new places and being part of this family, this is the right place.

We are looking forward to meeting you and having fun together!

Activities & Shift

The main activities to do on the farm are:

Cleaning and feeding of animals such as rabbits, chickens, cows and sheep
We are recently remodeling the back part of the garden and we need help with someone artistic who has an idea of decoration and will help us plant bushes, build a pergola and of course in everything we will be accompanying them and teaching them how to use each tool.

We are in the process of being an eco-sustainable farm, and we want help with the family garden that we will be starting to build and as well as maintain it, water the garden, harvest, collect the fertilizer from the rabbits and package it to have it ready in the garden, all this to have organic foods produced by us.

Another activity that we are looking for is to make a house for our chickens, since they are currently cold in a large warehouse that we have, and we want to give them a better life, so we are looking to build a small chicken coop where we will have our chickens to lay their eggs, which They will feed us day by day.
