What you offer
25 hours of help per week
Teaching Sports:
Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.
Music:
Perform to entertain guests, children or local communities.
Child Care:
Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.
Social Work:
Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.
What you get
2 days off per week
Private Room:
You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Team Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch:
You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Dinner:
You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Program Description
Is a community-based organization providing care, education, and support to vulnerable children in Uganda. We're excited to host Worldpackers volunteers who share our passion for making a difference.
What We Expect from Our Worldpackers
- Assist our local staff in childcare, education, and daily activities
- Contribute to community development projects, such as teaching, farming, or construction
- Share your skills, talents, and experiences with our children and community
- Be flexible, adaptable, and respectful of our culture and traditions
What Our Worldpackers Can Expect from Us

Typical Daily Tasks
- Assisting with childcare and education (e.g., teaching, homework, games)
- Participating in community development projects (e.g., farming, construction, outreach)
- Sharing meals and stories with our children and staff
- Engaging in cultural activities and events (e.g., traditional dancing, music, festivals)
Accommodation and Meals
- Shared accommodation with other volunteers and staff
- Three meals per day, with a focus on local cuisine and ingredients
- Access to amenities, such as Wi-Fi, laundry, and showers

Activities & Shift
Daily Activities Checklist:
1. Morning Devotions: Participate in morning prayers and devotions with the children and staff (7:00-8:00 am)
2. Breakfast Assistance: Help serve breakfast to the children and assist with mealtime supervision (8:00-9:00 am)
3. Classroom Assistance: Assist teachers with lessons, homework, and educational activities (9:00 am-12:00 pm)
4. Lunch Break: Assist with serving lunch and mealtime supervision (12:00-1:00 pm)
5. Afternoon Activities: Participate in afternoon activities, such as sports, games, or arts and crafts (1:00-4:00 pm)
6. Dinner Assistance: Help serve dinner and assist with mealtime supervision (5:00-6:00 pm)
7. Evening Devotions: Participate in evening prayers and devotions with the children and staff (7:00-8:00 pm)
Shift Description:
- Morning Shift: 7:00 am-12:00 pm (assisting with morning devotions, breakfast, and classroom activities)
- Afternoon Shift: 12:00-5:00 pm (assisting with lunch, afternoon activities, and dinner preparation)
- Evening Shift: 5:00-8:00 pm (assisting with dinner, evening devotions, and evening activities)
Note: Shifts may vary depending on the specific needs of the ministry and the children.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily chores, such as cleaning and laundry
- Participate in community outreach programs and events
- Provide emotional support and mentorship to the children
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as data entry and reporting
Rules
To ensure a safe and respectful environment for our children, we have the following rules:
1. Dress Code: Modest and respectful clothing is required while on the premises.
2. Smoking and Drinking: Refrain from smoking and drinking while on the premises, especially in the presence of children.
3. Free Time: You're free to leave the premises during your free time and engage in activities of your choice, but please respect local laws and customs.
4. Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality regarding the children's personal information and experiences.
5. Respect: Treat the children, staff, and local community with respect and dignity.
6. Safety: Ensure the children's safety and well-being at all times.
7. Communication: Keep us informed about your schedule, plans, and any issues that may arise.
