Program Details
How the Volunteer Program Works
Our volunteer program is designed to create meaningful connections between volunteers and young learners, fostering growth, inspiration, and community impact.
1. Application Process
-Submit Your Application: Apply online or in person by completing a short form.
- Orientation: Volunteers will attend an orientation session to learn about the project’s goals, activities, and expectations.
2. Placement
- Volunteers are matched to roles based on their interests, skills, and availability.
- Placements include classroom support, student mentorship, extracurricular activities, or administrative assistance, tailored to meet the school’s needs.
3. Training and Support
- Volunteers are introduced to child engagement, basic teaching strategies, and the program's values.
- A dedicated project coordinator provides ongoing support, ensuring a smooth and impactful experience.
4. Volunteering Activities
Volunteers participate in diverse activities, such as:
- Assisting teachers with lessons, projects, and classroom management.
- Supporting students with reading, homework, or group discussions.
- Organizing fun extracurricular clubs, sports, or creative workshops.
- Helping with school events like plays, competitions, or community outreach.
5. Time Commitment

Activities & Shift
Daily Activities for a Community Education Volunteer (6-Hour Shift)
8:00 AM – 8:30 AM: Morning Assembly
- Participate in the morning assembly with students and teachers.
- Help organize activities like singing, stretching, or sharing motivational thoughts.
8:30 AM – 10:30 AM: Classroom Engagement
- Support teachers in delivering lessons by assisting students during group activities or one-on-one sessions.
- Encourage active participation through interactive teaching aids or games.
10:30 AM – 11:00 AM: Break Time
- Supervise students during their break to ensure a safe and friendly environment.
- Organize light games or informal storytelling sessions.
11:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Skill-Building and Extracurricular Activities
- Lead or assist with creative learning workshops such as art, music, drama, or science experiments.
- Mentor small groups on team-building activities, sports, or leadership exercises.
1:00 PM – 1:30 PM: Lunch and Reflection
- Join students and staff for lunch to build rapport and foster community spirit.
- Reflect with the project coordinator on the day’s progress and prepare for upcoming activities.
Optional Full-Day Schedule
Volunteers choosing to stay the whole day can extend their involvement with:
- 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM: Organize afternoon programs, such as sports, clubs, or academic tutoring.
- 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM: Assist with cleanup, planning for the next day, or attending debrief sessions with staff.
