The experience

Hey there! Here you may help in the house with some housekeeping, care for my sweeeet cat Ciccio, or assist with some painting or small tasks. but just as important is the time spent together: cooking, sharing meals, or enjoying the italian lifestyle

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Restaurants: Get discounts at nearby restaurants.

Discounts on Pubs: Get discounts at nearby pubs.

Discounts on Drinks: Get discounts for drinks and beverages from our bar.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Pub Crawls: Be a part of our pub crawls at local bars!

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Program Details

At The Shelter I welcome volunteers who are looking for more than just a place to stay.

The daily tasks include helping in the garden (planting, watering, pickinglemon, doing liquor), keeping the house tidy, running small errands like shopping, cleaning, and occasionally assisting with online tasks such as preparing and shipping items sold on eBay.

I ask for people who feel comfortable working independently once they understand the tasks. I won’t stand over your shoulder. I trust volunteers to bring initiative and responsibility. At the same time, I’m always open to share meals, cooking italian food for you, exchange stories, and spend time together in the garden or around the table (both house and pub)

You can expect simple living, a calm atmosphere. What you give through your help, you will receive back in time, space, and authentic connection.

Rules

Not allowed to bring people home from outside the volounteer program

No smoking inside home, there's all the outdoor area for that

As a turistic house, volunteer are required to provide a ID for the registration according to the national law
