Fun, Nature & Home Support
The experience
I welcome volunteers who are curious about simple living, who want to connect with nature, and who appreciate silence as much as conversation. Here you may help in the garden, care for small animals, or assist with daily tasks — but just as important is the time spent together: cooking, sharing meals, or enjoying the quiet beauty of the land.
If you come, don’t expect luxury or crowds. Expect honesty, respect, and a place where presence matter

At The Shelter of Presence I welcome volunteers who are looking for more than just a place to stay.
The daily tasks include helping in the garden (planting, watering, seasonal work), keeping the house tidy, running small errands like shopping, cleaning, and occasionally assisting with online tasks such as preparing and shipping items sold on eBay.
I ask for people who feel comfortable working independently once they understand the tasks. I won’t stand over your shoulder. I trust volunteers to bring initiative and responsibility. At the same time, I’m always open to share meals, exchange stories, and spend time together in the garden or around the table.
You can expect simple living, a calm atmosphere, and respect for your presence here. What you give through your help, you will receive back in time, space, and authentic connection.
