We are looking for a volunteer who loves working with children in a nature-focused setting. Your main role will be playing and engaging with our 5-year-old son, Inti, encouraging his curiosity and creativity. You'll also help organize and lead a weekly cooperative of 4 children, focusing on nature-based play and educational activities. In addition, light garden work and house cleaning will be included to keep things varied.

Activities & Shift

Your tasks will include:
- Caring for and playing with our 5-year-old son, Inti, encouraging his outdoor exploration and creative play.
- Helping to organize and lead a weekly children’s cooperative with nature-based activities and outdoor learning.
- Assisting with garden work, such as planting, weeding, and general maintenance.
- Helping with light house cleaning tasks to maintain our shared spaces.

You work 15 hours per week in exchange for accommodation. We will make a schedule upon arrival.
You're expected to provide for your own meals. There is a communal kitchen where you can cook.

Rules

- Volunteers are expected to be responsible and autonomous with the children, but also to communicate with us openly about any concerns.

- A positive, fun, and patient attitude is needed when working with children.

- Treat the children with the same respect you would adults. Although they are young, they are full sentient beings with their own personalities, thoughts, and feelings. We value their individuality and expect everyone to engage with them kindly, attentively, and thoughtfully.

- Respect: Respect for the land, animals, and each other is paramount. We foster a peaceful and inclusive environment for everyone.

- Communication is essential! We encourage open, honest, and transparent communication at all times. If you need anything, have any questions, or face any challenges, please reach out. Clear communication helps us all thrive.

- Be flexible and adaptable. While your volunteer role may have a primary focus, there will be times when we ask for help in other areas. A positive and flexible attitude will ensure that we can collaborate effectively.

- Contribute to a positive atmosphere. We aim to create a welcoming, peaceful, and productive environment. Your energy and attitude play a big part in shaping the community.

- Safety: Always prioritize safety, especially when working with tools, machinery, or in the forest.

- Tidiness and cleanliness are essential in both personal and common spaces. Volunteers are expected to clean up after themselves, contribute to shared chores, and ensure that common areas are tidy and pleasant for everyone.
