The experience

We are a hostel located in the Jungle that brings it’s own complications, however, this we are located in a Jungle Oasis. We are currently growing, expanding our offerings and need help in with Reception, our new coffee program, our new cocktail program and in the kitchen washing dishes and cooking. This person needs to be flexible, have an open mind and ability to wear many hats balanced with beautiful nature and only minutes from Semuc!

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Cooking: Choose the menu, pick ingredients and cook delicious dishes.

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Bartending: Make and serve drinks and help maintain the beverages inventory.

2 days off per week

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Drinks: Get discounts for drinks and beverages from our bar.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Intermediate English or Intermediate Spanish

Between 18 and 50 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

You will have two days off and help for five days, five hours each day. These hours will be spent in Reception and in the kitchen, mainly washing dishes and helping our guests have the best possible experience. There may be random jobs here and there but expect to mainly be helping during our busy breakfast and dinner hours.

Rules

We do not allow drinking while the shift
Everything you consume must be logged into your account and paid by EOB
Employee meals will be given three times a day, ordering off menu is available at a discount
