The experience
We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly Housekeeping Volunteer to join our team. In this role, you will help maintain the cleanliness of our guest rooms and social areas. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in hospitality and housekeeping while contributing to a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere at our hostel.
What you offer
30 hours of help per week
Cleaning:
Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.
Housekeeping:
Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.
What you get
2 days off per week
Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Free Laundry:
You can use our laundry room freely.
Use our equipped kitchen:
Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.
Fast Internet Access:
High-speed internet for you to work remotely
Requirements
Beginner English or Beginner Spanish
Over 25 years old
Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details

Activities & Shift
Clean and organize guest rooms, including making beds, vacuuming, dusting, and replacing linens and towels.
Maintain the cleanliness of social areas such as kitchens, lounges, bathrooms, and common spaces.
Ensure all areas are stocked with necessary supplies, such as soap, toilet paper, and cleaning materials.
Assist guests with any housekeeping-related requests and ensure they feel comfortable and welcomed.
Report any maintenance issues or damage to the hostel manager.
Demonstrate a friendly, approachable attitude towards guests and staff.
Be proactive in identifying areas that need cleaning or improvement.
Rules
English-speaking skills are preferred, though not required.
No previous housekeeping experience necessary, but a willingness to learn and help is essential.
