The host was my 1st visit through world packers & it was absolutely worth the choice I made. Lia was the organizer for the entire volunteer group & did an amazing job to make sure we are experiencing, learning & equally enjoying our time there . The rest of the team as well worked , helped & was around all the time , which was a great interaction to learn from different minds. The best part was you are treated equally here , which is a very true Swedish culture. Unfortunately, I was sick for few days & they were kind enough to let me rest. The place overall is a beautiful stay ❤️

My time at the host was great. Everyone in the community was so warm and welcoming and really treated me like family the moment I arrived. Work time was respected and they made sure everything I need was provided. I also had a lot of downtime to just explore the beautiful Swedish countryside. Thank you so much, Lia! I miss it already.

We had a brilliant time at the host, they were so welcoming and accommodating. if your looking to experience beautiful nature and partake in some communal living the host is perfect. All the meals were provided and consited of amazing vegetarian food. The work was super flexible and really accomodated to our strengths. we worked mostly in the cafe, helping prepare food and cleaning/dishwashing. theres plenty of free time to explore the surrounding nature reserves. however the B&B is very remote, so definitely suited to anyone looking for a quiet getaway. thank you guys so much!! This was my first Worldpackers experience and it was absolutely amazing. The hosts are super friendly, the place is STUNNING and you get to try a bunch of different tasks. I will definitely recommend this place:)

My experience at the host was amazing. I had the opportunity to help them with gardening tasks and learned a lot from it. Besides, they are also open to volunteers helping out with other tasks such as assisting in the kitchen or at the B&B, providing a diverse and engaging volunteer experience. The staff is like a family and they are super welcoming, communicative, and flexible. I highly recommend this volunteer opportunity to anyone who enjoys nature and sustainable projects.

I went with a friend, and the experience was amazing. The place exceeded our expectations, and our room was stunning and incredibly cozy. They were always eager to listen to our preferences regarding activities and schedules, and they genuinely cared about our well-being. The vegetarian food was incredibly delicious. Sometimes we cooked ourselves, and other times enjoyed the hostel's buffet, but they always provided us with everything we needed and more. The gardening tasks were varied, including roses and trees, collecting branches and weeding in the greenhouse. I highly recommend it!

The host has been an amazingly welcoming environment! The people there are super friendly and accepting. Working hours are agreed beforehand and totally respected and the tasks are well explained. You will be staying in an old Swedish country house next to so much beautiful nature. If you're looking for a place to relax and be close to the environment, this is where you should be!😊

First off I would like to preface that Lia and her team were all very kind and inviting, there was one major part of this WorldPackers experience not advertised. The man who runs the host is Soren Ventegodt, a Danish holistic psychologist who practices vaginal acupressure. While I doubt any volunteers are involved in these practices, the staff members are. Upon arrival I found nude photos of the employees on one of their instagrams against the #metoo movement. Although this private sexual cult like life is kept rather private, after researching Soren, I was terrified to stay at the host.

Dear Avrey

That is a very tough accusation to make. I am quite in shock about the things you are writing. As you say yourself – non of this is actually happening, this place is run entirely by me and my team and I really don't like how you make it sound. Look at the feedback from all the other helpers, non had any experience of what you are visualising.

You made us worry by making something up about family troubles and now you are sharing with me, in a private message, that you had a crazy talk with a stranger you met over night. And instead of talking with me about it you made up a story and left. And for that you are giving me negative feedback talking about being scared for life.

I understand that you are 19 years old, having your first experience of traveling on your own from America and your first encounter (you "researched" yourself) with contemporary European art, made to empower women and their bodies.

But to call us a secret sex cult with doubtful practices is clearly a result of you watching too many horror movies a la "midsommar".

Please realise that you are actually harming honest and decent people out of your fear-trip.

I would appreciate if you would involve more mature problem-solving, like being honest. You know yourself, if you would have just said all of this straight to my face in daylight you would realise how ridiculous it is yourself. And we could have a good laugh about it.

I wish you well,
Lia

The host is a great place to get in touch with nature, disconnect from the city lifestyle and meet new people. The stuff is really nice and attentive. Just a fact to know is that there's not many things to do around the place as it's pretty isolated (if you want to relax this is the place to do it). Overall a great experience.

While volunteering at the host, I mostly worked in the garden but also had the chance to help in the kitchen and do some painting in one of the buildings. The working hours were always respected and the staff members communicated the tasks very clearly. The place is really beautiful and you can explore its surroundings with the bikes provided to you. I would recommend volunteering at the host to whoever is looking for a break from the frenetic city life and wants to relax, being in close contact with nature. Days can however get a little bit repetitive, as there is not much to do after work.
