The experience

PDRI works on peacebuilding by supporting communities in conflict through mediation and meetings with community leaders also we are developing different sports. Due to the vast size of the Kakuma camp and the challenges of accessing Kalobeyei, we face difficulties in transporting our team and materials efficiently. We are raising funds to purchase a motorbike that will greatly improve our ability to travel between these areas.

What you offer

18 hours of help per week

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Between 18 and 65 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

What You Will Do:

As a volunteer, you will help us raise funds for this motorbike. Your role will involve:

- Engaging with potential donors.
- Organizing online fundraising campaigns.
- Spreading awareness about our work and the importance of the motorbike for peacebuilding efforts.
- Sharing our fundraising materials on social media platforms.
