The experience

We are looking for a volunteer to help us collect used smartphones and cameras from people who are willing to donate them. These items will be used by our students of the ICT advance course to create better photos and videos for their last projects (Website Design). Also, the items will be useful for PDRI for our social media. The volunteer will collect, organize, and ship the donated devices from their country to Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya.


What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Photography: Take, edit and provide amazing photos.

Video Making: Create, edit and publish digital videos.

Social Media: Maintain and update social media channels.

3 days off per week

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely


Requirements

Intermediate English or Intermediate French

Between 55 and 65 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa


Program Details

- Collect used smartphones, cameras, and other devices from people or organizations who want to donate.
- Check that the items are in good condition and can take clear photos and videos.
- Organize the shipping of these items from your country to Kakuma Refugee Camp, including arranging shipping and tracking the delivery.
- Keep us updated on the progress of the shipment.

The volunteer is working remotely. He/she is the one to plan their activities & shifts.
