What you offer
18 hours of help per week
Social Work:
Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.
Teaching Sports:
Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.
Teaching Languages:
Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.
What you get
3 days off per week
Private Room:
You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch:
You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Dinner:
You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.
Discounts on Accommodation:
Get discounts for your stay in other hostels.
Free Laundry:
You can use our laundry room freely.
Pick Up:
We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.
Dance classes:
Take free dance classes at our place.

Requirements
Beginner Afrikaans or Beginner English
Between 18 and 80 years old
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details
We are glad to welcome you to our voluntary programs. We are honored to have you as our volunteer.
As an Organization we will ensure,
1. To provide briefing about our volunteering programs and operations.
2. provide you with an Induction/Briefing Pack containing relevant information, including volunteering brief, basic Swahili manual, camp/project’s work sheet, safety advisory, experience
evaluation form and other relevant documentation.
3. To provide adequate and flexible supervision and support to you in your volunteering role through monitoring and evaluation.
4.To give security, advisory and caregiving during your volunteer period.
To try to solve fairly any problems.
Rules
1. As a volunteer agree to use my common sense and be open minded
2. To submit a copy of my legal registration document (passport).
3. To disclose any medical condition that needs attention upon
arrival.
4. To adhere to child’s protection policy especially when working with children. 5. We advocate for zero child abuse of any form.
6. To comply with the Mombasa Rays of Hope Women project’s and partners safety and security advisory.
7.To respect the project and its partners, values and to adhere to their rules and procedures.
8.To respect the work of the organization, it’s members and partners and not bring it into dispute.
9. To carry out my duties and conduct myself in accordance with the organization’s volunteering policy.
10. To be mindful of cultural differences and be willing to adapt to the local culture diversity and ways of living.
11. To avoid introducing prohibited and illegal items such as drugs, weaponries etc.
12. To note that local travels and touristic sites are at own cost as guided by the management.
