The experience

Are you passionate about sustainability and interested in applying it? We are looking for a volunteer with an interest in analysis and strategic planning to help us evaluate our impact. We would like to project a long-term sustainable business model, including environmental, social and economic aspects. We offer you a unique opportunity to apply your knowledge in an emerging project with real impact.


What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Web Developer: Help develop and maintain websites.

1 day off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Requirements

Intermediate English or Fluent Spanish

Between 24 and 55 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Be from outside Colombia

Program Details

• Analyze the human consumption of resources such as water, energy and materials.

• Evaluate operating costs to identify areas of optimization.

• Propose strategies that combine environmental and economic sustainability, such as waste reduction, energy efficiency and income diversification.

• Identify opportunities to continue strengthening the business's connection with the local community and the Destination Management Network of which we are part, promoting responsible practices and reciprocal business relationships.

Activities & Shift

This kind of work can be divided between the morning and afternoon. It depends on the detailed work plan that will be created based on the conversation between both parties.


Rules

1. Living Together:
- The house is smoke-free.
- Alcohol and psychoactive drugs are not allowed on the premises, nor is arriving under the influence. It is important to be able to make decisions and respond to guest needs.
- There are three pets (two cats and one dog) that roam freely around the space, except in guest rooms. You can interact with them, but do not bring them into the rooms.
- Keep the shared bathroom clean and store your belongings in your room. The Libélula room, where you will be staying, is shared and must always be ready for other guests.

2. What to Bring:
- Shoes for indoor use only.
- Personal toiletries (toilet paper is provided).
- Personal towel.

3. Other:
- There is no television.
- Separate waste by type and ask how to dispose of it properly.
