Community Development Associate
The experience
The volunteer is expected to visit schools and share knowledge and experiences with children, pupils and students on various topics such as life skills, digital and soft skills, cultural exchanges ( language, food, music, dance, and creative arts), sports and fitness. There will be opportunities for direct volunteerships with children's centres, orphanages and other community centres.

Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Description:
The above fee covers accommodation, airport pickup and dropoff, a departure certificate, linkages with related organisations, and a small contribution to materials such as internet and utilities for project sustainability.

Program Details
The Volunteer programme has both an office and a hostel. Thus, it can provide accommodation and a conducive working environment at either of the two sites. The offices are in Kijenge in Arusha, while the hostel is in Kwamrefu. The programme has working arrangements with regional, national and local organisations such as the East African Community and East African Health Platform ( International); Girl Power Initiative and East African Youth Network Tanzania Chapter ( National); and other local NGOs, CBOs and Companies. Each partner has other related programmes and opportunities that ensure a wholesome experience.
Activities & Shift
The workday starts at 9:30 am and goes on for four productive hours. There may be non-mandatory exceptions of more extended engagement with schools, children's centres and community work.
