Program Details

Zanzibar's kindergartens offer early education for children typically 3 to 6 years old. Focusing on foundational skills like reading, writing, and social development. The curriculum varies, with public kindergartens often following the national guidelines, while private ones may use international methods. English and Swahili are the main languages of instruction, depending on the school's focus.

Many kindergartens are community-based and may have limited resources, so volunteers play an important role by helping teachers, organizing activities, and even bringing new ideas for learning.
