I had an amazing time staying with Alex at Chateau Civrac. From being able to try his amazing wines to learning about different styles of viticulture. It's a truly unique experience to be able to live and spend time in a the winery. I hope to return again soon 😁

A great 1st Worldpackers experience! Before my stay, Alex and I called to talk about the winery and his expectations, and I asked him any questions I had. During my stay, I worked in the vines on various tasks; Alex made an effort to vary these tasks so I didn't do the same thing the whole time. The work is physical but doable and worth it to learn about wine hands-on. I was lucky that the other volunteers knew lots already. It is remote, but we fixed up bikes Alex had so we could get to nearby towns. We had a miscommunication regarding meals which was handled very respectfully by Alex.

I had the incredible opportunity to live an unforgettable experience at Château Civrac, in Cotes de Bourg. I learned a lot during my stay thanks to Alex, who not only generously shared his knowledge, but also made me feel at home with his hospitality. I am deeply grateful for everything he taught me and for the warm atmosphere I found in the winery. Without a doubt, a stage that marked my personal and professional training.

This was a great first step into volunteering for me. the winery is beautifully picturesque, making the morning work well worth it. You will be cooking most days and it can be cold in the campervan when it's not sunny. Alex is great about respecting the work hours as agreed and we did a variety of tasks around the winery including pruning, tying on, helping pack bottles and moving the sheep.

Volunteering at Chateau Civrac was a great experience. From the moment I arrived, Alex was very welcoming. The environment was not only inviting but also a place where learning was encouraged and supported. I had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various the winery tasks, which deepened my understanding of viticulture. I highly recommend this stay to anyone looking for an authentic, educational, and thoroughly enjoyable the winery experience. Thank you for having me Alex.

Definitely a place to visit! To all my outdoor people this is the volunteering you should do, this is the perfect place to get in contact with nature, learn lots of things away from the big city. I had an amazing time at Chateau Civrac, got to see so most beautiful vineyards, walked around small towns and met incredible people. The hours are respected and the food it's delicious. Just keep in mind that you'll have to take turns to show your cooking skills. Alex and his family are the sweetest people ever, always making sure everything it's okay and that you are having a great time.

This was my first volunteer experience and I had such a wonderful time! Alex is an incredible host with his beautiful dog Leon who kept me company. The othet volunteers were amazing during my stay and I made such nice connections with the locals. It is a very quiet lifestyle but I enjoyed that much more than being surrounded by people. Alexs partner Grace and his daughter are also absolutely charming from the time I met them. Alex has incredible amounts of knowledge and life experience to share and is always one to have a good laugh with! I am entirely in love with the place. 😁

I had the best time ever. The work isn't hard and you have a bunch of different things to do and learn so you will never get tired about doing always the same thing. Alex and his family they are all very lovely and kind, he is very flexible and respect the work hours a lot. The whole place is so amazing and if you into nature and animals and having quiet and peaceful moments is the right place to go. Such an amazing experience meeting people from different places and sharing the activities and meals. I am already missing Leon a lot, he is the most handsome labrador in the world.

We had the best time on the winery! alex was a welcoming and very generous host. the daily tasks and hours were clear and easy to complete and left plenty of time in the day to relax on the winery or visit neighbouring towns. we got along with the other volunteers really well and felt very comfortable. the accommodation was cozy and kept us dry on the rainy days. overall it was a superb experience learning about the care of vines and the wine industry. we will miss everyone, especially leon!
