I had an amazing experience at Chateau Civrac, I lived the experience that I was looking for. You should keep in mind that this is a rural area with a very basic installations, so you might need you heater quite a lot during cold (which was no problem for me). Alex treated me super well and managed to explain every activity with caution. I would definitely do it again!

The time spent at Chateau Civrac have been fun, educational, hard, grounding, relaxed and all over fantastic. Alex has welcomed me with open arms, and he has been more than willing to teach away everything he knows about agriculture and winemaking. I have met a lot of fellow travelers and connected with them over common interests and shared projects. The harvest is hard, but we have worked full days, so that means more free days to wander, do day trips or relax ( I did all of this) so bring some stuff for your down time. And thermals for cold nights if you come in autumn! Enjoy your stay!

I had a great time at Chateau Civrac. I greatly enjoyed learning about the winery from Alex and being involved in the wine-making process. I'd highly recommend it for anyone looking to get hands-on experience in viticulture and wine.

Heaps of fun with Alex and everyone else on the chateau. He's a cool guy who knows a lot about wine and is always down to have a beer and a chat. Definitely check it out if you are interested in the winery side of wine or want to spend some time in the winery country side

Chateau Civrac is a truely magical place to volunteer. Alex and his partner Grace are such friendly and welcoming people - thank you both for making me feel so at home and looked after from day one. Alex takes a lot of care to make sure that working hours and tasks are reasonable and aligned to our strengths & passions, and I genuinely loved every moment of work on the farm. Alex is also very generous with meals and he even let us try a few wines from the winery with dinners. I'd 100% recommend this experience to everyone looking for their perfect Worldpackers escape to the countryside :)

I had an amazing time staying with Alex at Chateau Civrac. From being able to try his amazing wines to learning about different styles of viticulture. It's a truly unique experience to be able to live and spend time in a the winery. I hope to return again soon 😁

A great 1st Worldpackers experience! Before my stay, Alex and I called to talk about the winery and his expectations, and I asked him any questions I had. During my stay, I worked in the vines on various tasks; Alex made an effort to vary these tasks so I didn't do the same thing the whole time. The work is physical but doable and worth it to learn about wine hands-on. I was lucky that the other volunteers knew lots already. It is remote, but we fixed up bikes Alex had so we could get to nearby towns. We had a miscommunication regarding meals which was handled very respectfully by Alex.

I had the incredible opportunity to live an unforgettable experience at Château Civrac, in Cotes de Bourg. I learned a lot during my stay thanks to Alex, who not only generously shared his knowledge, but also made me feel at home with his hospitality. I am deeply grateful for everything he taught me and for the warm atmosphere I found in the winery. Without a doubt, a stage that marked my personal and professional training.
