The experience

We are far from taking it for granted that children from the slum area in Dar es Salaam
Mbagala Majimatitu Maliasili can go to kindergarten. Here it is extremely important that
the children aged 3-5 years can attend a so-called "early education school". This is the
only way they will later have a chance of being admitted to a school. Primary school
requires children to be able to read and write and to be able to solve simple arithmetic

This is your chance to make a real difference while immersing yourself in Tanzanian culture! In our Language Exchange Program, you’ll help children, youth, and community members improve their English through fun lessons, conversations, and creative activities.

In return, you’ll have the opportunity to learn Kiswahili from locals, experience the warmth of Tanzanian hospitality, and explore the beauty of Dar es Salaam and its surroundings. You don’t need to be a professional teacher — just bring your passion for sharing and learning.
