The experience

Join us at Canaan Hill Farms and help us cultivate, plant, feed, and harvest our organic crops. This position is perfect for travelers who are passionate about nature and eager to learn about organic agriculture. You'll gain hands-on experience in a peaceful environment while contributing to a sustainable lifestyle.


What you offer

30 hours of help per week

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Animal Care: Help look after and take care of animals.

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens


What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.


Requirements

Beginner English

Between 20 and 50 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help with all aspects of life on a working organic farm. Your main activities will include:

Cultivating and planting various crops.

Feeding and caring for farm animals.

Assisting with harvesting.

Learning about soil health and natural pest control.

Engaging in other daily farm tasks as needed.
We encourage you to bring your positive energy and an eagerness to learn. This is a chance to truly disconnect from city life and reconnect with the earth.


Activities & Shift

Your time with us will be a true collaborative experience. We ask for a few hours of help per day, allowing you plenty of time to explore the beautiful surroundings. Our activities are typically a daily checklist which will be given to the volunteer.
