This was my first work exchange programme and it honestly exceeded all my expectations! Even though I was at the village for just a week, I learned so much about both creating a sustainbile community but also so much from impacts of colonialisation to being more mindful! I'm always hesitant when I see somewhere say they're 'like a family' as I think it's a buzz word, but from start to finish, Tammie and Andrew made a genuine family feel which was inclusive and authentic. Super grateful for this experience!

Beautiful project and beautiful people! 100% recommend it, specially if you are looking for a place that actually puts into practice sustainability and a simple healthy lifestyle. I would suggest to bring work boots, or gum boots, as it can get a bit muddy if it rains

I have to thank Andrew for his flexibility and kindness as I had one of the most transformative and personally significant expereinces with the beautiful combination of people I met during my stay. It wasn't what I expected and was so much more valuable than I could've dreamed of. The magic of this place and the surrounding area is pulsating, vivid, alive, and very readily apparant. I was barefoot always. I was laughing more often than not. I felt welcomed and loved and free. Thank you!! 🫂🌲🌾🦌

Noah, to witness, and be a part of, your transformation was a privilege. You are always welcome here - tho I can’t guarantee another transformation like it next time :)

You have a lovely nature, are a pleasure to be around. Quiet, hardworking, respectful, gentle, empathetic, caring and funny. You deserve the best that life has to offer. Thank you for sharing yourself with our little community.

I was there my first month of Australia and I really loved it. It is a really amazing community, who will always fulfill all your needs and you will really have a great experience. The day I arrived I already felt comfortable and Andrew really is the best host, really flexible and always there for you. I met some amazing people, from all around the world, who I will miss very much. You will also learn a lot about living the community friendly and learning about Australia's nature and ecosystems.

I had a lovely time at the the community village. Everyone was very kind and welcoming and the place is beautiful. There are many spots for when you want to socialise like the kitchen area but also spots where you can have some alone time; it's the perfect balance. The tasks were most of the time pretty chill and you get enough free time to explore the area around Maleny. If I had any questions Andrew was always there to help! I would definitely recommend this experience.

I had a lovely time in the community. The work was varied, sometimes labour intensive, but never done alone. I met many interesting people, while also having time for myself to relax and enjoy the beautiful environment. Maleny is close by, and also lovely!

The community was lovely the whole community was extremely welcoming and friendly. It was a great way to experience a more sustainable living environment. Make sure your prepared to be fully living in nature as this may come as a shock if your not used to this lifestyle. Only improvement I would suggest is having a little more schedule to the days e.g knowing exactly when we are working and when we can have a break as some days this was not communicated as much. However Andrew is a very flexible host that is always othering help. He is also he is extremely knowledgeable on sustainability.

Andrew was welcoming & made sure we felt at home. I especially enjoyed the meal times & learning lots about the community life and the volunteers i worked with. The only improvement I'd make is having a rota for the work hours, it would be nice to have set breaks and a schedule for the week. Overall I felt there was no organisation & sometimes made it very difficult, eg one time Andrew didn't tell us we had the day off & we sat around waiting for hours until one of the other volunteers told us. We could've gone to the beach or into town. Besides this i had a great time thank you for everything:)
