The experience
Join our cozy homestay in Alvaiázere, Portugal, and enjoy peaceful days filled with walking two friendly dogs, gardening, or helping with small DIY projects. You'll have a private apartment with a comfy bed, ensuite shower, and access to a garden and terrace. In your free time, explore the countryside, hike, or relax by the fireplace. Meals are flexible: enjoy delicious lunches together and prep your breakfast/dinner with provided ingredients.
What you offer
20 hours of help per week
Housekeeping:
Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.
Gardening:
Help grow plants and cultivate gardens
Elderly Care:
Assisting and spending time with the elderly.
What you get
2 days off per week
Private Room:
You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch:
You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Dinner:
You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.
Free Laundry:
You can use our laundry room freely.
Bikes at your disposal:
You can use our bikes any time you want.
Pick Up:
We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.
Use our equipped kitchen:
Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.
Fast Internet Access:
High-speed internet for you to work remotely
Requirements
Intermediate Portuguese or Fluent English
Between 25 and 65 years old
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Helping hands and dog care
Activities & Shift
Daily walks with the 2 dogs in adjacent nature. Besides that, depending on the weather, gardening/weeding or diy jobs inside the house. Keep the appartement clean. You will be autonomus in your tasks schedules. If needed, drive the host in her car with automatic gear to medical eye treatments
Rules
The appartment gives access for the dogs to the garden. You need to open the door for them if needed. At night this door will stay open to let the dogs go into the garden if they need to.
