YESD (Youth Employment & Social Development) is a social enterprise founded in 2015 aiming to empower remote Vietnamese communities through responsible tourism and education. Volunteers teach children and adults using interactive, practical methods that help learners communicate and grow in confidence. By joining, you become part of a broader mission that links education with sustainable tourism and community development.
What you offer

Social Work:
Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Fluent English
Between 18 and 45 years old
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details
Roles and Responsibility:
As a teaching volunteer, you’ll:
- Organize and lead engaging classroom lessons tailored to both children and adults.
- Prepare inclusive, interactive learning materials that meet diverse needs.
- Teach reading, writing, and English conversation—especially to local villagers being trained as tour guides and homestay hosts.
Requirements:
- Exceptional command of the English language.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A relevant teaching certification (e.g., TEFL, TESOL) is highly preferred.
- A commitment to volunteer for at least one month in Thon Tha Village.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- A willingness to embrace and uphold the core values of YESD: responsibility, sustainability, and social impact.
