I loved volunteering at the hostel Miru. I felt like I was at home here, it feels like a flat and all of the guests and volunteers are one big family. Its very comfortable and fun and we have a meal together every day. The work is very easy and fun, we get to cook for the group or take them out to explore the city or go out with them in the evenings and we still get plenty of free time. The communication is good and there are no surprises in the work. This is a great experience for anyone who wants to explore prague, make great friends and memories and party every night. Thank you the hostel Prague 🫶

Staying at Hostel One Miru was my first volunteering experience and honestly there's nothing I would improve. The environment was very pleasant, clean and cozy, truly felt like I was amongst old friends. It's a great opportunity to practice your English, polish your social skills, as well as get used to staying up for the night or party shifts:) The work hours were were fair, the schedule made very clear, along with the rest days, if you were ever confused or needed help there was always a staff member willing to assist you and etc. Thank you for the awesome month in Prague!

This has been my first experience with WP and I couldn't be happier! Prague is an amazin city, but the most important thing is the family I had this month in the hostel Míru <3 The staff and the volunteers are wonderful, and the atmosphere with the guest in the hostel and going out is great for socializing and practicing English because we share a lot of moments all together. The task and the shifts are quite simple, but you have to get used to having a night life. Thank you for this experience :)

The time I spent at the hostel was very good, the location of the hostel is great and close to the city's main attractions. The turnover of travelers is very high, which makes it perfect for meeting people from anywhere, the shifts are fair and provide us fun with our guests. I highly recommend it!!

Although there was a wonderful, social vibe at the hostel Miru, there is serious communication problems between higher management and volunteers. Me (and other volunteers) were sick for the whole stay, and suspected it to be caused by mould in the volunteers room. Nothing was done about this until half of the volunteers left early. I had to leave as well due to my health, and was threatened that if I did not leave them a good review, neither would they for me. Message me for more info. Needs improvement before I would recommend to others.

I wanted to share some feedback regarding our experience with Tina as a volunteer. Unfortunately, we found it quite challenging to communicate with her. She seemed to treat the exchange more like a holiday rather than a commitment. We often encountered issues with tardiness and a lack of social engagement. Additionally, when we had to remind her about shifts, she responded with anger. For these reasons, I cannot recommend Tina as a volunteer. If anyone needs further details, please feel free to reach out.

DO NOT come here for your safety and health. I have never worked somewhere with such little regard for ethics, respect, and decency. The volunteer dorm has black mold and unsanitary mattresses (message me for pictures). When I and two other volunteers raised concerns about addressing the mold issue, we were told "if we didn't like it we can get out." When we said we needed to leave as we were sick and no one addressed the mold, we were kicked out and told we would receive a no-show or one-star review on WP. They also switch around the WP profiles between properties to spread out bad reviews

Overall I had a fun time. The other volunteers were amazing and I made great friends. The hostel has a cozy vibe which made it easy to feel at home. Most of the work was chill. I felt like the management was a bit unprofessional. They fired 3 people for reasons that seemed unnecessary. We were understaffed most of my time there and I felt stretched thin with the hours because we would be put on multiple shifts a day. I don't recommend this if you don't do well without sleep. I don't blame the hostel, but the night shift took a toll on my health. Message me if you have any questions!

I wanted to share some feedback regarding Mya's recent stay at the hostel. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to leave a formal review, but I believe it's important to mention that Mya struggled to adhere to some of the hostel's basic rules. Despite our thorough explanation during the interview, she expressed dissatisfaction upon her arrival. It seems she views this experience more as a holiday rather than an exchange.

The experience was more than unpleasant. In that hostel they have no manners, principles or any kind of value. The manager Ro (Roman) was rude to me on several occasions, showing her total lack of experience and professionalism in the position. Lack of organization in tasks and shifts. In addition to all this, I was expelled from the hostel by the other manager, Lexi, for no reason, I tried several times to talk to her to understand the situation. They refused to talk and I was left on the street. When this happened, they marked me as No-Show so I was not able to leave my review. NOT RECOMMEND

I didn't have the best experience. The way we were spoken to by the managers (Nina, Lara) was condescending and even hostile. They would complain about a volunteer to others and wouldn't resolve any issues. I was always walking on eggshells. There is a lot of pressure to have reviews mentioning our name, I was told it determines my value and that they didn't see the point in keeping us on regardless of whether or not we were doing a good job. One week was only night reception shifts, which wasn't what we agreed upon. The volunteer's room had some mould and the mattresses were unsanitary.

I really enjoyed my stay at one fam home hostel. The other volunteers became my best friends and really made this experience! The location couldn't have been better, everything was within walking distance! The work load felt very intense and overwhelming at first because your just kind of thrown into it and have to learn things on your own and rely on the other volunteers. The manger that was with us in the hostel seemed very misogynistic and would make weird comments to the girls. The shower was also gross because it was next to the washers :( other than that I enjoyed my stay!
