The experience

Join our orphanage in making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children. As a Worldpackers volunteer, you'll contribute to creating a supportive environment and foster sustainable development through Volunteer Activities e.g Childcare: Assist with daily routines, education, and recreation, Teaching: Share skills or knowledge (languages, arts, sports), Community outreach: Participate in local initiatives and events, Sustainable agriculture


What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Teaching Sports: Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Accommodation: Get discounts for your stay in other hostels.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: Weโ€™ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Yoga classes: Take free yoga classes at our place.

Surf lessons: Take free surf classes at the local beaches.

Dance classes: Take free dance classes at our place.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Holistic Therapies: You can take part in any of our therapeutic activities for free.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Between 18 and 80 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Activities & Shift

Daily Activities Checklist

Morning (8:00 am - 12:00 pm)
1. Assist with breakfast and morning routines
2. Childcare and education support
3. Help with household chores

Afternoon (1:00 pm - 5:00 pm)
1. Teaching or workshops (skills sharing)
2. Community outreach and engagement
3. Sustainable agriculture tasks

Evening (6:00 pm - 9:00 pm)
1. Dinner preparation and cleanup
2. Evening activities (games, reading)
3. Reflection and planning

Shifts:
1. Morning Shift: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
2. Afternoon Shift: 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
3. Evening Shift: 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Flexible Shift: Depending on needs, volunteers may be required to work flexible hours

Breaks
- 30-minute lunch break
- 15-minute breaks throughout the day

Note:
- Schedule may vary depending on specific needs and events
- Volunteers are expected to be flexible and adaptable
- Regular meetings will be held to discuss schedules and tasks
