The experience

Our Learning Center in Jinja, Uganda, welcomes youth daily for lessons, character-building, skills training, and support from dedicated mentors who ensure they have a chance to thrive. We seek volunteers to teach students aged 7 to 18, choosing the age group you prefer. Share your skills in math, English, art, music, sports, or any subject you love. Use creative methods, track progress, connect with local communities, and join team meetings.


What you offer

5 hours of help per day

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Teaching Sports: Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 5 Per day

Fee pays for: Benefits for travelers, Materials for volunteer activities, and Donation to project

Description: Volunteers contribute 5 usd per day to support the center's expenses, including financing and food provisions. This contribution helps sustain the daily operations and ensures the center can provide essential services to its beneficiaries.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Intermediate English

Between 18 and 80 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

The Volunteer Program at our Learning Center in Jinja, Uganda, offers volunteers the chance to make a positive impact on youth aged 7 to 18. Activities & Shift

Depending on your interests, you can join various activities at our Learning Center. We have established a safe environment with study and mentorship groups, where we address each student's learning needs. You can also support initiatives like health awareness campaigns, psychosocial well-being through therapeutic sessions, a leadership program empowering youth to address community challenges, and sustainable livelihoods through entrepreneurship training and our gardening program, which promotes environmental stewardship and healthy eating. Your contribution can make a real difference!
