Program Details

Upendo Face Orphanage was founded in 2013 by Godfrey Kivuyo. During your time you will be living on site with Godfrey and his family. This is a great way to integrate with local people and immerse yourself in the Tanzania culture.

Godfrey will be your host during your stay. He will pick you up from the airport and be available to help you throughout your stay. He can help you with a local SIM card, banking needs, and so on.

Mama and the family will cook traditional, delicious meals!!!

I, Rebecca, was a previous volunteer that stayed for six weeks. I am from America and speak English. I will also be available throughout your stay, however I will not be there in person. I created this volunteer position because of the incredible time I had with the kids and with Godfrey's family during my stay. I want everyone to experience the love these kids have to offer!

Activities & Shift

As a volunteer you will be with the kids from 9am to 1pm. During this time you can lead the kids in games, art projects, sports, music, any group activity.
One hour of the day will be dedicated to class time, you can spend this time dedicated to learning English.
