Working at the shelter has been a fulfilling and enjoyable experience. The sanctuary is home to so many beautiful dogs and cats, each with their own unique personalities. The work involves walking the dogs , and it's always a joy to see them so happy and excited. If you're an animal lover, this is definitely the place for you!

If you enjoy doing these things love dogs, hiking and walking, interacting with locals and new adventures each day the shelter is for you. Lost a ton of weight. Where I stayed had a great location. Next to convenience stores, larger supermarkets and outlets. There will be ups and down each day because each dog walking day can be quite taxing. Expect also to purchase some items i.e. toilet paper, dishwashing during your stay Yes, there are things that can be improved around the accommodation as with most things in life. But you make do and make the best of it.

I had planned to stay there for five weeks but left after two. There was a considerable lack of communication with the host. I had to rely on the other volunteers to give me the overview on how things worked. There was also zero training on handling the dogs despite many dogs being very skittish. The living conditions were not great, my mattress had a bunch of stains and we weren't given a key to lock the house. However, the work itself is enjoyable if you like walking dogs. As long as you're in good physical shape, it's not hard at all. I walked around 18,000 steps on a given day.
