My experience volunteering with the project Organization was very positive! The team was friendly and welcoming, which made it easy to feel part of the project. Although I was there for only 1 week, it was a great opportunity to learn about the local culture, their challenges and contribute in small but meaningful ways. The paid accommodation was simple but had all the necessary structure to ensure a good stay. I recommend the project to anyone looking for a genuine and rewarding volunteer experience!

This was the best volunteer opportunity I've ever done. The work that the project is doing in Kibera is outstanding. I learnt so much about Kenyan cultures and the struggle that Kenyans are going through environmentally, socially and economically and really felt a part of and welcomed by the team and the community. I went for a week and ended up staying for 2 weeks instead as I just didn't want to leave. Being hosted by Eunice and her family was wonderful, I loved being able to be part of their home. One of the best times of my life. A perfect experience where you can really make a difference

Pros: This organization is perfect for those who want to engage in social projects and have a genuine impact on the Kibera slum community. You can choose the projects you want to focus on, plan your own volunteer itinerary and participate in local activities. Keep in Mind: It's not the most budget-friendly volunteering option. Volunteers are responsible for their own accommodation, transportation, and any activities outside of the provided lunch. These extra costs can add up. Tips: Located in Nairobi, it's easy to explore the city and enjoy tours during your free time.

WA:+4790117663 The work that the project does in the slums are truly wonderful, and they really matter for the people there! I learned ALOT about Kibera. It was a beautiful experience, but also a hard one since you saw so many sad destinies. It is a lot of different work you can do here, that makes the days very varied and intresting. I really recommend this program!!! Unfortunatly it was challenging communicating with the people that runs the program, I felt there was a big culture crash between me and them. And despite giving them feedback many things didnt improve during my 2 weeks there.
