It was definitely a wonderful experience! The hostel is a very comfortable place, the host did a great job. He's helpful and friendly, If you'll have any problems, he'll give you a hand. If you'll be needing some days off to go to touristic places like Cappadocia, he'll give them for sure! Moreover, the city is incredibly bright and alive. Being a part of life in Istanbul was so full-feeling, you can see that the city has a soul. I also had an awesome connection with another volunteers, they're just amazing people. If you're looking for adventurous spot to spend time , this one's is perfect!

I worked during two weeks painting two murals in order to embellish common areas in the hostel. The experience was good and enjoyed my time with other volunteers. Meals were not provided as agreed. Every week Mert gave us 600TL to buy our own food for the entire week which it was barely enough to cover only breakfasts. The place is open to public since one year and still lots of work needs to be done.

I stayed for a month in the coliving and it was a very nice experience! Also the neighborhood is very local so you will get a real view of the city.

I had fun staying at the coliving, mostly because there were many other volunteers to talk to & become friends. For that, I am truly happy, as I found people and had an awesome time with them. My work was pretty independent ( cleaning) and not difficult. The place is in a good location on the Asian side of Istanbul. Mert - the host, is trying to build the place, which takes a lot of patience & ability to communicate & get people's feedback. I am sure with the time he will only improve himself in those & have truly amazing time with everyone, who comes to help.

The hostel has really good facilities, but is usually a bit quiet. Public transport works really well, but it does take its time from the location in Ataşehir. In addition to reception work, Mert wanted me to help with some online marketing, which I was happy to do. Hoewever, here I felt like my ideas weren't supported / he wasn't open to new input which was a bummer

My experience at the coliving was great! The hours are well respected, and the work is very easy: basic housekeeping, cleaning and reception. Nevertheless, i missed some kind of training or clarification about what was needed to be done. Sometimes i felt lost while doing the tasks, feeling some lack of communication. So, i would say that the communication of the manager with the volunteers needs to be improved asap! The hostel is very far from the city center (european side) but in my opinion, the asian side is a better spot to stay for a longer time.

My time in the hostel was good. The place is well located near the metro station and many bus stops which made easy to move around. Mert is a kind-heart person and was always checking on us to see if everything was ok and always open to help if we needed. During my cooking period he gave me freedom to cook and shop whatever I wanted. And during my reception time he trusted me enough to manage the hostel in the best way possible. I had a great time with guest and also could live with two different groups of volunteers and they were great! Gonna keep most of them in my life.

All the volunteers were very friendly and I had a fun time spending time laughing w them! The hostel has great workspaces, lounge areas, movie room, and dining areas. Take your pick! Mert is understanding and flexible most of the time! We also had some commitment/communication issues- like us having to change rooms 3 times, me arriving for making murals only to be later told I can't do that in his absence. That is fair, but I wish I'd known that before I arrived. He offered to work at reception instead which I expressed didn't suit me. Mert came up w an art project alternative that worked!

It was such good experience, Mert is an amazing host flexible, reliable and always willing to help. I was in charge of the housekeeping and it was convenient job, as it was in the morning then had lot of time to spare and as the hostel is not soo big then it gets easier by the time. Food was always provided and same with the times and days off, never had any problem with the host and othe volunteers, we had very good team and enjoy amazing time together. The hostel is perfect for digital nomads, the atmosphere is perfect to work and rest, also it is 5 minutes from the train station
