The experience

Ireland has a very warm, welcoming culture - with a rich tradition of music, dance, poetry and literature
We live 15 minutes walk from Roundstone Village, one of the most picturesque villages in Ireland. Nestled between the sea and the 12 Bens mountain range - in summer it is a bustling hub of tourists with shops, restaurants, pubs and music galore. It is quieter in winter.
Clifden town is a 15 minute drive and serviced by a regular bus service.

What you offer

5 hours of help per day

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Child Care: Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.

Cooking: Choose the menu, pick ingredients and cook delicious dishes.

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Program Details

We are a family of 5. James has a truck driving business and is away a lot of the day. myself Mairead, I have a hairdressing business, and our 3 children. Jamie 15 Ava 10 and Gavin 9 and Melody, Ruby and riley our dogs.
We are looking for someone who loves children, to spend time caring for, and playing with them when i am at work.
We'd also love some help around the house and cooking, a little gardening.
We are a very easy going family, informal and good humoured. We enjoy a good laugh and are interested in learning about other cultures as well as sharing some of our own.
Roundstone has a lot to offer in summer as does Clifden town for days off, Galway City is an easy 60min Bus ride in one direction and Westport/Castlebar is an easy 60 minute bus ride in the other direction.
