Good place to volunteer. The city is well connected, and having three days off is great. The staff is friendly. The tasks can vary, I mainly did painting. The atmosphere feels more like work than volunteering. One downside is that the kitchen is super basic, you can cook, but only with the essentials. Other than that, everything was okay. I recommend buying the Deutschland ticket so you can travel freely throughout Germany.

This was my first volunteer experience and it couldn't have been better. Working hours are respected, as well as the schedules, and if you ever need to make a change they help you. You share a room and bathroom with other Worldpackers, and the space is comfortable. All the staff are warm and friendly, to the point that you end up considering them friends. This experience was better than I could have expected, I'm going to miss it a lot.

10/10, i've met some amazing people during my time in Düsseldorf. Meeting with other people who are here doing the same things you are really help you connect and make new friends. Likewise, the staff are all INCREDIBLY kind, open and caring. Thorben himself is also an incredible person. The work was very fair, nothing difficult and very fair hours considering you have 3 days free for yourself to visit the city, or plan a small trip somewhere a bit further out (or nearby!!) I genuinely had a great experience here, and was very satisfied having it as my very first worldpackers trip!!

I had a wonderful time at the A&Q Hotel. It's a place I've had experience with before. Thorben, Ata, and the rest of the team have become like family to me. I'm always proud to work with them. I'm sure we'll see each other again. Best regards.

My experience at the hotel was wonderful. The previously agreed-upon conditions were met at all times, and I was always welcomed and treated with the utmost hospitality. I don't need to go into specific details, as the entire staff is truly honest, kind, and attentive.

I had a wonderful experience in this volunteer project! The team was amazing — Thorben, the manager, was super kind and empathetic, and Tony, the maintenance guy, explained everything clearly and gave us all the materials we needed. Even without speaking English, we understood each other perfectly. The food was great, the accommodation was cozy, and I felt truly welcomed. Highly recommended!

Amazing experience, highly recommended. Thorben and all the staff are very friendly, always willing to help and very sociable. We spent almost a month painting rooms and learned a lot from Toni (the maintenance manager). Without a doubt an unbeatable experience, we would recommend it to other volunteers.

You have the chance to find a lot about the hostel life. The tasks and the work environment are pleasant plus the international community and the host has prior volunteering experience, so will understand a lot of things. Wrapped, I would definitely recommend the experience!

I had a pleasant experience at the hostel. The work is quite simple, the staff is nice and friendly, and the manager has the best dispositions to make your stay compatible with traveling and working. I recommend this volunteering if you want to improve your English and visit Germany and surroundings. I hope to come back some other time :).
