I had a great experience volunteering at the organization. I worked four hours each day and the tasks were exactly as agreed. I really enjoyed the work and there was plenty of free time to discover the nearby towns Santa Teresa and Montezuma. Jacob and the whole team were incredibly kind and I felt immediately included. I also managed to improve my Spanish a lot by talking to the workers every evening. I honestly wish I could have stayed longer. I can highly recommend this place

Volunteering here was an amazing experience! I learned how to work with cement, make fake rocks, and use ferrocement—something I never tried before. The team was patient and supportive, and even though my English isn't perfect, I felt understood and welcomed. I'm really proud of what I helped build and thankful for the chance to learn these unique skills.

I really enjoyed living in the organization for 2 weeks and wish I could've stayed longer! It was exciting to learn about planting and building techniques. I had a really nice language exchange with the workers at the organization, and they also drove me around to let me explore the area😍 Jacob also took us to Sámara where we got to spend the night and see one of his bars which was really fun. And the daily morning yoga sessions with Claudia have to be mentioned as well :) Would recommend!!

I really enjoyed my time at the organization. It's a beautiful, peaceful place surrounded by nature. Since Jacob was on vacation, Alexis and the other guys who work there took good care of me and became very good friends. It's a bit tricky to get around without a vehicle, but it's possible! I mostly hitchhiked to the beach in Santa Teresa or Montezuma and took the bus back home after dark and never felt unsafe. I also enjoyed the work, and the guys made sure it wasn't too hard for me or too much in the sun during midday. Moreover, the accommodation is very nice and has everything you need.

I couldn't imagine or expect anything better from this experience! Jacob and his house and family felt like home from the first moment! A super quiet, calm place and job, where you can learn a lot from others and about various tasks and even about yourself! I highly recommend it if you want to be part of a community where you help each other, where you learn and where you can spend calm and peaceful time with nature! Thank you!!

I could learn a lot, had a beautiful time with the other workers and nice tasks. Also there is so much place to work out, work on your laptop or just hang out at the natural pool.

This was a disappointing experience for me. The dome structures in which volunteers sleep in are full of mold. You can smell and feel it at soon as you enter the domes. The beds are mostly old worn out mattresses. The pillow cases and bed sheets also have mold stains. There is inadequate ventilation in the domes. After just a few days my breathing became labored and I had to leave after one week. I believe this place was special at one time, but it appears to have been neglected for several years.

I worked in the organization for three weeks, watering the plants and helping in the construction site. Had a good time, just know that its hard work!

I had a great experience at the organization. Jacob and the people who work there are determined to make it a collaborative learning experience. There seems to always be a variety if projects happening so it's very likely you'll get to work on something that interests you. Plus the people who work there were very patient with me to help improve my Spanish. I'm very grateful for my time at the organization and recommend it to those ready to learn and connect.

Volunteering with this team was an amazing experience that helped me improve a lot. I learned so much about the biodiversity of Costa Rica's jungles and how to harvest and make food from local plants. It was also great to meet people from the local culture and international volunteers. We shared dinners every evening, and making pizza in the wood stove together was a highlight. I usually prefer working on my own, but I enjoyed the group moments and felt supported. I got better at what I do, gained confidence, and made great memories. Thank you—I hope to visit and see how the project grows!
