Program Details

We are welcoming volunteers who are interested in working with children at our school in rural Tanzania. The school is located in the Bugene village near Kayanga and we can use your support at teaching English and other subjects. It would be helpful if you already have some experience or are confident enough to come up with own ideas as well. Our school is only running for three years now and there are still many options to expand. The school grounds are very big and any ideas for projects additionally to teaching are welcome.

Activities & Shift

Specific shifts can be discussed individually but we would welcome you to spend the working hours at the school and discuss with us and the teachers where your help can be most needed. Activities can include the support of our current teachers during their lessons but also teaching by yourself. Creative, sportive and agriculture projects are also always welcome. There is a daily school meal for students, which can also be taken by volunteers, normally rice and beans.

Rules

There are no specific rules yet, other than being open for new cultures and being able to adapt to different lifestyles, which includes other living conditions than what you might be used to.
