Volunteering at the hostel and the Escuelita de Islote was an unforgettable experience! Everything from the food to the volunteer dorm was excellent. The hostel lets you join all activities and rent equipment like snorkel mask or paddle boards for free. The people working at the hostel are mostly locals from Islote and a bit hard to understand due to their dialect but very friendly. Finally, the work with the kids: it was intense at times because the age range is very large and you never know how many kids will show up. Nonetheless, teaching was lots of fun! Highly recommended!

My volunteering experience on the island was unforgettable. The most special part was spending time with the children during lessons. Their curiosity and eagerness to learn inspired me daily. Every smile and story made this experience unique. I'm grateful to Amandis, the school supervisor, whose passion for education was truly inspiring. Thanks also to Ali, my supervisor, for his constant support. Lastly, a big thank you to the staff at the hostel, especially Jess and Rebecca, and the island's residents for their kindness, warmth, & generosity. I'll definitely return to this paradise!

Let me tell you something from the heart: this was the craziest, most challenging, incredible, and beautiful volunteer experience I could have ever done in my life. If you're passionate about education and social transformation, this is the perfect place. I enjoyed it and faced many challenges very different from what I'm used to in a traditional school, which made it even more beautiful. A special mention goes to Ali. I can assure you, you'll never meet someone as warm, kind, and passionate about education and social work as he is. He was my mentor and now my friend. Hope to see soon buddy!

Mi experiencia el hostel voluntariado fue única. Compartí con niños llenos de energía y aprendí tanto de ellos como ellos de mí. Las clases, los juegos y las sonrisas me hicieron sentir parte de la comunidad. También la convivencia en la casa fue especial: conocí personas increíbles, con quienes compartí momentos inolvidables entre el mar, la naturaleza y la vida sencilla.
