By joining us, you’ll be contributing to a growing movement dedicated to providing sustainable solutions and opportunities for communities in The Gambia.
Activities & Shift
- Content Creation: Develop creative, engaging posts (text, photos, videos, reels, etc.) to showcase MyFarm’s activities, workshops, and community impact.
- Graphic Design: Design graphics using tools like Canva or Photoshop to create visually appealing content for social media platforms.
- Photography/Videography: Capture high-quality images and videos of farm activities, student workshops, and community events.
- Social Media Management: Schedule and manage posts on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter, ensuring consistent branding and messaging.
- Engagement: Respond to messages, comments, and mentions across social media channels to foster an engaged community.
Rules
- No smoking in the public areas. Smoking can be done in designated areas away from students.
- The same applies for alcohol.
- To respect the local norms and values, we require volunteers, when in public areas of the premise, to wear clothes covering up to the knees and stomach.
-There is no curfew, we have 24/7 security on site. But be mindful when going out at night, better not go alone by foot. There is usually staff or other volunteers that will want to come with you if you want to do something.
- This is not really a rule, but more something to be mindful of: when you invite the locals/staff to go out for drinks dinner or parties with them, they often expect you to pay, since it is often outside of what they can afford. To avoid uncomfortable situations, when going out with staff, make sure that you are on the same line of expectation with them.
