The experience
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to join our team as Volunteer Cleaners & Kitchen Hands. This dual role is essential in helping us maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our community, while also supporting our operations. As a Volunteer Cleaner & Kitchen Hand, you will contribute significantly to our mission by ensuring our facilities are kept in excellent condition and providing assistance in our kitchen.
What you offer
25 hours of help per week
Kitchen Hand:
Help prepare, finish and serve meals.
Cleaning:
Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.
Housekeeping:
Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.
Reception:
Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Team Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Intermediate Spanish or Beginner English
Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Activities & Shift
Cleaning Duties:
Perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming designated areas.
Clean restrooms and sanitize surfaces to ensure a hygienic environment.
Empty trash cans and recycle bins, ensuring proper disposal of waste.
Organize and tidy common areas, including waiting rooms, hallways, and kitchen spaces.
Assist with deep cleaning projects as needed, including windows, carpets, and furniture.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
Work collaboratively with other volunteers and staff members to ensure cleaning tasks are completed efficiently.
Kitchen Hand Duties:
Assist in the preparation and serving of meals under the supervision of kitchen staff.
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, countertops, and dining areas.
Help with dishwashing and the cleaning of kitchen utensils and plates.
