The experience

My name is Renate, I am from Germany and have been living in Costa Rica for over 15 years.
I run a beautiful small hotel surrounded by coffee fields in Alajuela and would like to offer a position to volunteers who want to learn about hospitality in Costa Rica.
My hotel is a wonderful oasis near the Volcano Poás, can easily be reached by public transportation and is 15 minutes away from the center of Alajuela.
It's a quiet hotel, no parties ;-)

Program Details

Since it's a small hotel with usually very quiet guests, I would recommend that you are also more a quiet and independent person.
Enjoying reading and nature for example would be helpful to like it here, because there's no party location anywhere close by.

I also don't mind if you are an older person but any age is fine for me.
I am very open minded :-)
Of course we will be working as a team because it's a small business.

Activities & Shift

There's plenty to do in Alajuela, like visiting the volcanoes, coffee farms, wildlife sanctuaries, waterfalls, hiking... and San José is also not far.

Because I am already in the age where others are usually retired, I could need some help with very easy tasks like opening the gate to guests, answering emails/messages etc. Maybe you can help during breakfast or in our garden, too.

Rules

No parties, no drugs
