Program Details

You will live in a little cute apartment inside the main house, but with a separate entrance.

We expect that you enjoy living with our family, sharing the same jobs we normally do: taking care of the animals, growing the vegetable garden, do a bit of gardening and , if help a bit in our small vineyard.

We would need some basic help with our few animals: 6 geese, 6 hens, 5 cats and a dog and some repairing works, always beeing surrounded by our three teenagers.

Activities & Shift

Tasks & Responsibilities

There are no fixed daily tasks, except for a few simple and regular routines:

Opening and closing the hen and goose enclosures in the morning and evening, and feeding them.

Walking our Border Collie once a day, weather permitting.

Other tasks vary depending on the season and the needs of the moment. These may include:
Gardening or helping in the vegetable patch

Light maintenance or repair jobs around the house

Outdoor tasks such as pruning the vineyard or helping in the fields

No specific experience is required—we are happy to teach you what you need to know! Every volunteer might be involved in different activities depending on their skills, interests, and the time of year.

Rules

We don’t have many strict rules—just the basics: respect for the people, animals, and spaces in the house. This includes treating our home and belongings with care, being kind and responsible with the children and animals, and helping maintain a peaceful and collaborative atmosphere.

We’re happy to give you a few days off each week and want to make sure your experience here is enjoyable and balanced. If you need to go into town (Casale), we’re usually available to give you a ride, even daily if needed. The most important thing is that we plan these things in advance so everyone can stay organized.

A few practical guidelines:
Please keep your personal spaces and shared areas tidy.
Smoking is allowed only outside.
We ask for open and honest communication, especially if something is unclear or if you need to adjust your schedule.
If you’re unsure about something—just ask! We’re happy to help.
