Program Details

Our programme's purpose is that individuals get to experience life in a Buddhist centre, dedicated to World Peace. Being a volunteer at Kadampa Meditation Centre, Aberdeen is a great opportunity to connect with a spiritual community, and to practice meditation.

Volunteers are also welcome to attend all events we have, as long as they're outside the working hours.

Activities & Shift

Our programme starts usually on Sunday with meet & greet, where we show the volunteers around and guide them to their room.

The actual work starts the next day, on Monday at 10am. We then show the volunteers where they will work for the week.

The volunteering programme is generally from 10am to 5pm (6-hour work/day), and 1-hour break during work. In total 30 hours of volunteering per week.

Please be aware that some areas, like the cafe, have a different schedule, but it is never more than 30 hours per week.
