The experience

Practice Spanish by helping children and make a difference!
Make an impact and develop children´s lives through English lessons, helping with their school homework, and sharing positive activities to improve their skills and
self-esteem with games.

Activities are from:
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6:30 to 8:30 pm

NOTE: In your free time you can do activities like yoga, dance, walking around the city, practicin Spanish.

What you offer

6 hours of help per week

Child Care: Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 277 Per week

Fee pays for: Benefits for travelers and Donation to project

Description: We contribute to delivering school materials, clothes, shoes, and medical assistance to children who live within vulnerable populations from low-income families. Volunteers contribute 277 USD per week to cover food expenses, maintenance, and financing of our organization.

What you get

4 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Yoga classes: Take free yoga classes at our place.

Dance classes: Take free dance classes at our place.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Intermediate Spanish or Beginner English

Between 20 and 80 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

Duration: 2 hours, 3 times a week, assisting kids ages 4 to 12 years old
Helping with school homework
Develop skills in playing games, drawing, counting with numbers, math, painting, and sports, giving them your attention and time.

Activities & Shift

Example:
Monday from 6:30 to 8:30 pm school homework and playing games to practice math.
Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:30 pm teach some vocabulary in English, listen to music in English, and practice songs.
Friday from 6:30 to 8:30 pm draw and write numbers in English and Spanish.

NOTE: Each volunteer can share different activities with them to develop the skills and needs of each child.
We are open and flexible to new and fun activities

Rules

Don't say bad words with the kids and don´t smoke or consume drugs inside the house.
