Welcome to Dar Nomad House Farm, a 200-year-old traditional home in the heart of the desert. We invite you to experience the authentic Berber lifestyle, savor delicious local cuisine, and immerse yourself in the rich nomadic culture. Stay with locals, connect with nature, and discover the serene beauty of the desert. We can’t wait to share this incredible experience with you!


What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Arts: Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 7 Per day

Description: Sharing is caring, and in our desert zone, we believe in the power of coming together. We ask for a humble 7€ daily contribution to cover your delicious meals think hearty breakfasts, scrumptious lunches, filling dinners, and endless cups of tea to keep your spirits warm. This isn't a profit game. it's about the circle of giving.


What you get

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Permaculture Course: Take part in our Permaculture course for free.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Between 18 and 80 years old

Program Details

Volunteer at Dar Nomad, Tagounite, Morocco

Experience authentic desert life at Dar Nomad, a Berber oasis at the edge of the Sahara.

What You’ll Do:
• Live with the Berber community and learn traditions, language, and cuisine.
• Help restore a 400-year-old home using traditional mud-building techniques.
• Care for camels and experience nomadic life.
• Contribute to farming, gardening, and artistic projects.
• Cook traditional Moroccan dishes with our family.

Accommodation: Stay in mud rooms or Berber tents, surrounded by desert beauty.

Join us for a meaningful experience of cultural exchange and hands-on contributions in a peaceful, reflective environment.


Activities & Shift

Volunteer Shifts at Dar Nomad

At Dar Nomad, activities are organized into shifts to ensure a balanced experience and allow volunteers to participate in a variety of tasks.

Sample Shift Structure:
• Morning (8 AM - 12 PM):
• Mud-building or farming/gardening
• Camel care and feeding
• Afternoon (1 PM - 4 PM):
• Cooking and culinary workshops
• Artistic projects (painting, decorating)
• Evening (4 PM - 7 PM):
• Relaxing and bonding time, storytelling, music
• Optional desert exploration or free time

Shifts are flexible, allowing volunteers to contribute to different tasks, enjoy time with the family, and experience the beauty of the desert.
