Program Details

We are an eco-village, with about 10 permanent members and something between 5-20 visitors and students at a time. It gets quite busy from spring to autumn and in winter we slow down.

You should be prepared for many alternative methods, for a community approach and a quiet location. We value community time and open, non-violent communication. For our volunteers, it's probably important to know, that most of the time you will make your own schedule. Of course we can help you with it and you will have guidance from your work leader as well as from our volunteer mentor but structuring your days and tasks will be up to you most of the time.

We are also looking for volunteers who can stay a minimum of 2 months right now. Please only apply if you can manage this.

Activities & Shift

At our place, you make your own schedule (unless you are in the kitchen). We have daily morning meetings to discuss any matters but then everyone goes to their own work. For all of the volunteering positions, we have leaders so someone will show you around or teach you.

If you are in the garden, this might mean weeding, sowing, moving branches, harvesting etc.

In maintenance you could be fixing radiators, check out the plumbing, fix some bikes or whatever else needs attention.
Hosting can include organising events, preparing rooms or cleaning for example. The kitchen is always busy, from cooking, preparing, cleaning or restocking. We also need someone who wants to boost our marketing and online presence.

If you have any other skills you think might come in handy, we are happy to hear about it!

Rules

Two months minimum stay, taking part in daily morning meetings and weekly sharing sessions. :)
We also use macriobiotics in the kitchen, so please be aware of that. You can find more information on our positions, our lifestyle and approach, as well as how to apply to us on our profile :)
