Program Details
Volunteers will have 4 shifts (4 days) per week varied between reception, bar, cooking or activities.
Volunteers are trained on all areas for a week before they begin working with less guidance.
The general idea is about helping us operate the hostel on a professional level, maintaining excellent customer service through socialisation and having lots of fun.
Activities & Shift
There are 3 shifts per day at the hostel- the morning shift is on reception, the midday shift is helping on the ground and the evening shift is reception and then bar. The evening shift counts with more than one volunteer if we are busy, if not the shift is solo.
Volunteers shifts are mixed with paid worker shifts.
Volunteers may embark on activities on their own accord, start an activity or lead one. They may take guests out on trips if they like, they may go to parties with guests also.
Rules
We ask that volunteers help us maintain the hostel clean. They must clean up after themselves and also maintain their own rooms.
