I had an amazing time staying with Sahirin and his lovely family. I felt welcomed straight away and like a part of the family which was really nice. I really enjoyed teaching the children English as they are very keen to learn and to talk to you. I also really enjoyed going to the garden each morning to help with what needed to be done. There are also some very beautiful waterfalls nearby which Sahirin will happily take you to! A great experience

This was An amazing experience. At first it was a bit of a cultural shock, but Sahirin and his family we're super welcoming. The moment you arrive you're part of the family. You truly make an impact and feel like you're making the kids learn something new, and you also help the family with improving their English. Sahirin tries to show you as much as possible of the area and can take you to waterfalls, rice fields, the beach or a road trip :) If you want to fully immerse yourself into a new culture and want to live very sober and make an impact, then this experience is definitely for you!

Amazing experience! The host family was incredibly kind and welcoming – they made us feel at home from the very beginning. The food was delicious and gave us a real taste of the local culture :) The accommodation is very simple, but it gives you a truly local experience! Teaching English was a lot of fun. In the afternoons, we had a class with children – they were lovely and full of energy. In the evenings, we gave lessons to adults, which was a great balance to the kids. We always laughed a lot, and everyone was eager to learn.

This weeks were a wonderful experience! We helped in gardening in the morning and we teach English to the kids of both villages in the afternoon. Mr. Sahirin and Mr. Dery where wonderful with us and we are happy to call them our good friends now! We fully recommend this experience if you want to have a more local perspective of the society in Lombok and helping it grow with their English knowledge.

During this 2 weeks in Lombok, we lived as locals and we loved every day of it. We helped the community, participated in their daily activities, gave english lessons to the children and connected with locals that now we call friends. Both Mr. Sahirin and Dery were wonderful hosts and made us feel like family. Thank you so much for this wholesome experience.

Loved this experience. Sahirin really made me feel welcome and introduced me to his family and the rest of the village. I truly felt what it was like to live as a local in Bilok Petung. Teaching the kids was very rewarding experience and I loved when seeing them genuinely interested in learning the language.

Super expérience chez Sahirin, nous avons été très bien reçus et traités comme des membres de la familles de la part de tout le monde. Nous sommes tombés en même temps que 2 autres volontaires avec qui nous avons fait connaissance et créer des lien sur le temps que nous avons passé là-bas. Les enfants était adorables, et nous avons eu l'occasion de faire partie du village comme tout autre habitant. On a même participé à un mariage local, très traditionnel. Encore merci pour tout à Sahirin et à sa famille, et à très bientôt.
