From the moment I arrived to the farm I felt like I was home. Audrey is a dedicated, welcoming host who made me feel like part of the family (and who cooks incredible meals). I had an amazing time with the other volunteers as well, and all our free time was filled with rides, game and movie nights and lots of laughs. I will forever remember Audrey and her animals, and everyone in Hudson Bay that made this experience unforgettable. I will miss visiting Brenda, Michael's “safari rides”, Bert's cowboy expertise, and most of all, Glen. Thank you, for everything.

My stay at the farm was only a month long and within my first few days I had already felt like I had found my home away from home. I am very grateful for Audrey and all the experiences she managed to arrange between herself and friends of the farm, and really feel like I could be myself around everyone. I really appreciate the level of trust Audrey placed with me regarding her animals and the opportunities this allowed for, and feel the people I met along the way will feel the same as we had such genuine fun and laughs with all the animals. I can't promise there were no tears when I left :')

Audrey is a wonderful power woman and is a true role model for me in what can be achieved if you want it enough. It was not only Audrey's hospitality and delicious food that made the stay so special. I was part of the social life of the farm as well. I also met the most amazing volunteers that I could think of. I had so much fun at the farm while cooking, gardening, fixing stuff and more. During free time we went to ruby lake, on rides, learned roping and so much more. Some exceptional things I could go to was a rodeo, the radio station and a carriage ride. I'm already missing it!

Audrey runs a lovely bed & breakfast in rural Canada. The daily tasks either consist of outside work (checking horses, cleaning cabins) or inside work (prepping food, cleaning). The work hours and days are always exactly as listed. I enjoyed my time at the farm, and the other volunteers truly make the experience! However I'd highly recommend that you need to be able to entertain yourself and enjoy free time as during time off the other volunteers might be busy and there's not always something to do. Overall, I'd recommend the farm to anyone looking for peace and quiet, mixed with a fun time

The farm is a really cozy place and if you make the effort, you will get a family abroad! I would say that this experience is more like a home stay, and helping with the B&B, than learning about the farm life, but if your looking for a place where to connect with people around the world and to make fun memories, this is definitely the place for you! I had a great experience and will forever remember my stay and the people I meet!

I spent two months at the farm and it was an incredible experience. Audrey is a strong, generous, and very understanding woman, especially with my English. She made me feel at home from day one. I shared time with colleagues from different countries and we formed a small family. The horses, the dogs, and life on the farm reminded me of my childhood and filled me with joy. Thank you, Audrey, for your love and for making this place so special.

From the moment i stepped into Audrey's house she made me feel welcomed and like it's my home too. She does everything to make everyone feel comfortable and happy. Audrey is a very nice, funny, strong and understanding woman, you can talk with her about everything and she tries her best to get up to everyone's needs and wishes. Her friends come around and take us to go fishing, explore Hudson Bay (and much more) and try to give everyone a great experience and get to know the Canadian lifestyle ! It was an amazing experience which I will always be happy to remember,it's a home away from home !

Audrey is a powerful woman who run her business with kindness. She is impressive and you can see that she loves her B&B and all the animals around. It was a pleasure working with her for 1 month. Hudson Bay is a small town where people are welcome to come eat with us and share some quality time together. Shane and Glen are great guys and I'll miss them as much as the rest of the FirRiverRanch family. Thank again to Audrey for her lovely nest and all the food you made for us, I'm gonna miss your delicious cream puffs.

Audrey was an amazing 1st host and an amazing frist introduction to Canada. I've never felt more welcome in a strange place than I did at the farm, everyone there including Audrey, other volunteers and neighbors will become your BEST FRIEND. You can always keep busy with, trying to get the dogs to lose weight, brushing the horses, any indoor tasks and anything new you might want to try about Hudson Bay will be supported. Audrey is all about woman empowerment, she never once called me any dederogatory trems if she did you can feel the love across the whole the farm. <3 I miss Glen(& Audrey)

The farm is a wonderful place to be. Audrey is extremely lovely and makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. She is a great help in arranging car shares to get to Hudson Bay, the small town near the farm. The working hours are very nice with a 4-hour lunch break, and also the job varies depending on your skills you can be outside carrying for the horse or inside helping with food preparation and cleaning. Speaking of food, it's amazing; even as a vegetarian, I never went to bed hungry. There are always other volunteers, you can have good laugh with or a heated game of marbles
