The experience

Join us in Choachí and help us share the beauty of this magical place with the world! We’re looking for a creative volunteer who enjoys photography, writing, or design to manage and improve our presence on social media. This role goes beyond content creation: your posts and ideas will inspire people to visit Choachí and encourage new bookings at our BnB. You’ll be part of a warm community, helping both travelers and locals connect.


What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Video Making: Create, edit and publish digital videos.

Content Writer: Write, edit and publish inspiring content.

Photography: Take, edit and provide amazing photos.

Social Media: Maintain and update social media channels.

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Requirements

Fluent English or Beginner Spanish

Between 23 and 40 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

1. Manage our social media channels with authentic, engaging content about Choachí and our BnB.

2. Share the experiences we offer (trekking, yoga, massages, local tours) in a way that excites and inspires travelers.

3. Create posts and stories that not only showcase life here, but also encourage visitors to book their stay with us.

4. Experiment with creative strategies to reach more people and spark their curiosity.

5. Work may vary from week to week. The volunteer should adapt and prioritize tasks, checking with the host when needed.

6. Be part of our team, contribute ideas, and enjoy the journey with us!

Activities & Shift

The social media work can be divided between the morning and afternoon. It depends on the detailed work plan that will be created based on the conversation between both parties.


Rules

1. Living Together:
- The house is smoke-free.
- Alcohol and psychoactive drugs are not allowed on the premises, nor is arriving under the influence. It is important to be able to make decisions and respond to guest needs.
- There are three pets (two cats and one dog) that roam freely around the space, except in guest rooms. You can interact with them, but do not bring them into the rooms.
- Keep the shared bathroom clean and store your belongings in your room. The Libélula room, where you will be staying, is shared and must always be ready for other guests.

2. What to Bring:
- Shoes for indoor use only.
- Personal toiletries (toilet paper is provided).
- Personal towel.

3. Other:
- There is no television.
- Separate waste by type and ask how to dispose of it properly.
