Program Details
You'll be helping two empty nesters (Paul and Vicki) as well as our beautiful rescue dog, Cleo, around the house. We live on 5 acres of beautiful property that was once used as both a small trout farm and a small fruit farm. Your tasks will include basic gardening/weeding, helping to collect, chop, and stack firewood, helping to clear junk/debris from the property, and helping with basic house/property repairs. Depending on your experience and area of expertise, we may also have tasks relating to helping Paul with his social enterprise not-for-profit registered charity. The charity helps provide remote meaningful employment to people aged over 50 living in regional Australia. Tasks relating to this will usually involve marketing, project planning, event planning, or admin help.
In return, you have the wonderful local area at your doorstep ready to explore!
Activities & Shift
More than happy to discuss a schedule that works for everyone, but the suggested 'shifts' are 4 hours a day across 4 days, then you're welcome to use the three days off as you like! There are a number of world renowned mountain bike tracks, hiking tracks, and wineries all within a 30 min walk or 5 minute car ride. The local town is a 10 minute car ride or a good 40 minute bike ride away, and is a wonderful place to spend some time off.
Rules
No smoking in the house.
