I had a lovely time volunteering with Jun, it was a very relaxing experience. Another volunteer was there too, which made it even more fun. The work is fair; most of it happens on weekends when guests stay upstairs. Weekdays involved dishes and light cleaning. Jun and I went on walks and explored the area by bike, which I really enjoyed. The downstairs area is quite cluttered, so it might not suit everyone, but I didn't mind. Jun also cooks really good food. I stayed in a nice upstairs room he usually rents out. Would stay here again!

My time with Jun in Numazu was unmatched!! I got to learn SO much about Japan, culture and language. We sung karaoke, played games, went to onsen and the pool, cycled on the beach, took walks, and shared many laughs. Jun cooked very good Japanese food, which allowed me to experience Japan's culture first hand- with a local!! The work in the guesthouse was very doable and left a lot of free time for exploring and relaxing :) You also get to sleep in a tatami room, have a full Japanese experience! I would recommend staying here to everyone. And i hope to see Jun again :)

Jun is a wonderful person. He's a very smart man, curious, patient, and he has a great sense of humour. His daughter is adorable and very independent. The house is located in a beautiful area, which is near the beach. There's an electric bike available for guests to explore the area. The jobs would take 2/3 hours a day. Jun is not too strict regarding working hours as long as all the jobs are done. When I arrived I found the house was very cluttered. I am a very tidy person and it disturbed me a lot. However, once I tidied up the place everything was absolutely perfect for me. Thank you Jun!

I had a really good time with Jun! The working hours are really fair and not hard, the town is kinda small but it was nice to go around the beach and the parks. It was a really nice experience and I am really glad I was able to live in a Japanese house

I really liked this experience. Junさん is a very nice person with whom you can have a good conversation about life. He also showed me around a few times and even took me shopping because he knew I like second hand clothes. Also he cooks amazing food (I will miss this a lot!). He has a very cute daughter that is very independent. Numazu is a beautiful town with lots to explore if you like the outdoors and you can use one of the bikes to move around. The work is super easy and won't take long. The room is tatami style and super spacious which I really liked. I felt like home here! ありがとうございました

Mr. Jun is a talkative, easygoing host who makes you feel at home. Staying here is relaxed with no pressure – my only the guest house tasks were washing dishes and vacuuming. The rest of the time was mine to explore Northern Izu's peaceful seaside area with views of Mt. Fuji. Highly recommended for a peaceful, slow-paced getaway!!!

I had a nice time in this beautiful town. Jun is a nice man who could seem like a quiet person, but he actually is funny, likes to chat, and also likes to sing karaoke (I think he is good at it). He asked me a lot of questions about Mexico and shared the guest house a lot about Japanese culture. He also cooks really well, and while helping in the kitchen, I learned a lot about Japanese food. My room was a very comfortable tatami room. The work was very easy and fast to do. Numazu is a beautiful place, and I enjoyed very much my time wandering around. A perfect place to rest and reset. Thank you :)

Jun is very friendly and welcoming. He cooked a lovely breakfast and dinner for us every day. The house has everything you need, worth noting that the room will feel small if 2 people are staying. The hours could be better specified before arriving as I did not realise the work is done usually between 11am to early afternoon, making it hard to go on daytrips etc. You can see mount fuji from the town which is special, but the tourist spots are around 2 hours from there so not possible to visit while working. Jun was flexible with the work and overall I enjoyed the experience.

Jun is a very sweet and welcoming man! He makes beautiful Japanese meals for dinner and was very accommodating for my vegetarian friend that was volunteering as well, The work is super easy and doesn't take much time, just mainly cleaning up the dishes and light house work and helping with the upstairs guest house (changing sheets and light cleaning of the rooms) when guests check out The house is 300ms from the beach, park, 7-11 and supermarket so in a very good spot. It's a very quiet neighborhood so a good place to go if you want to rest and have a lot of time to yourself
