The experience

THIS IS A PAID POSITION!

Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Chef to join our team for the summer. You will be responsible for preparing healthy and delicious meals for our campers and staff, ensuring a positive dining experience.

Responsibilities:

Plan and prepare daily meals, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks.
Accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences.
Manage food inventory and order supplies as needed.


What you offer

32 hours of help per week

Cooking: Choose the menu, pick ingredients and cook delicious dishes.


What you get

1 day off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Get free drinks or beverages.: Drink up! Get free and tasty drinks for yourself.

Free Events: Get free entrance for the best events in town.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Requirements

Intermediate English or Intermediate German

Between 20 and 50 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

European Union Passport

Program Details

The Chef at a language camp for teens in Switzerland is responsible for preparing healthy and delicious meals for campers and staff. They plan menus, accommodate dietary needs, manage kitchen operations, and ensure food safety, all while creating a positive dining experience that enhances the camp's overall atmosphere. You will also be responsible to make sure the kitchen is clean after every service.
You will have a team of volunteers to help you.


Activities & Shift

6-8 hours per day


Rules

Zero tolerance for drugs.
Alcohol can be consumed after 10:00 pm and outside of camp facilities.
Smoking is allowed in designated areas.

You need to be a Swiss or a EU citizen !
